SpaceX has locked in a $60 billion option to acquire AI coding startup Cursor, with a $10 billion alternative for deep collaboration with xAI’s Colossus supercomputer. The deal pre-empted a $2 billion funding round Cursor was negotiating and reportedly shut out Microsoft, which had been circling the company first. It’s the biggest move yet by the Musk-aligned AI stack into developer tools.
